First edition of Online SharePoint Saturday India for 2011 is here!
Scheduled for June 25, 2011, this is an online event and will be delivered via live meeting. Last year we had an excellent response – around 130 registrations and the event was very well received.
This year we – Ravikanth Chaganti and I – will be working together to conduct more of these types of events – virtually – to leverage on the global SharePoint community and with live meeting it is possible for anyone to present as well as attend.
We certainly look forward to speaker submissions from the SharePoint community from all over the world… already received couple of submissions from the USA and the UK. Calling other regions to help us grow this online virtual community.

I was honoured to be speaking at Microsoft India’s premier annual event of the year in Bangalore this year – Tech.Ed India 2011.
It was a quick trip to Bangalore – less then a week, but well worth the travel and the hectic schedule resulting. I really enjoyed presenting 2 sessions over the period of 2 days and also participating in some roundtable discussions with some head honchos from Microsoft Product Teams from Redmond. It was a privilege to be invited by the MVP lead of India Abhishek Kant and Abhishek Baxi to these discussions where majority if not all were MVPS, so guys a big thank you for having me in the discussions.
Wow! 2011 has been off to a fiery start! I am honoured to be presenting at Microsoft Tech.Ed India 2011 in Bangalore. This annual event is from March 23-25, 2011 and I am presenting 2 sessions at this event.
In less then a week, I will be at the Australia SharePoint Conference 2011 in Sydney. I am delighted to co-present with Michael Noel on Backup and Restore for SharePoint 2010: Protecting Mission Critical SharePoint Data with new tools and technologies on Day One.
In addition to presenting on this topic, I will also be doing a pre-conference workshop – Get To The Point on SharePoint 2010 – Business Continuity Management.

It’s back next year on March 8-9, 2011 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. Speakers submissions are now open until December 09, 2010 and you can put in your submissions for Australia and for New Zealand
