Distance Learning

I blogged about SharePoint training now available from the comforts of your desk yesterday. Apparently Microsoft offer Distance Learning too. Its called Microsoft Official Distance Learning. Although SharePoint is not on the list at the moment (Dec 15 2006), I don’t see any reason, why it won’t be in the months to come.

OMG! Australia is not on the list! Can Microsoft stop ignoring ANZ!

Note Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions that deliver MODL training are not always located in each of the above listed countries and regions. However, because MODL is delivered over the Internet, you may participate in training that originates outside your country or region.

Yeah right! So, why list other countries or for that matter United States ??? Its online, so let it be that way.

So what’s MODL (reminds me of Migration On Demand List :-) )?

… new learning platform blends online classroom training, live discussion, real-world-based scenarios, and self-directed study into one rich and easy-to-use educational experience—delivered right to your desktop.

MODL courses are offered exclusively by authorized Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions…

I have been heard that SharePoint courses are presented at the demo version of Learning management system for SharePoint and these courses are inside of this LMS.

Is there anybody heard about this?
